Raptor reverse?
#1
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I have a limited edition raptor and sometimes when im in first and go to put it in reverse the reverse light is on but when i let out the clutch the gears start grinding where its not in gear if i pull in the clutch and step down on the gearshift again it pops in gear. Is this normal or do i need to get this fixed.

I have a mid VIN-- 01 Raptor and it does not do what you are talking about.
I have never had a grinding noise.
When in first gear your turn the reverse **** and then press down and slowly let the clutch out mine goes right in.
Only thing I have to worry about is this Raptor is faster in reverse than most quads are going forward. I have perfected the art of going backwards but now I have a prominent twitch in my neck from doing it do much.

When your in first gear... Turn the reverse **** and keep pushing down on the shifter and while your still applying pressure down on the shifter let the clutch out it will engage alot easier that way. If you just turn the **** and click down and let the clutch out you will get that grinding sound somtimes....
Just keep pressure down after you turn the **** and keep it down while you release the clutch.
