I keep mine in my shed out back. I don't think the thing has ever been locked. Crime is non-existant here. But if I do leave my quad on my truck overnight I back it up to the house so you cant open the tailgate and if they wanted to take my quad they'd have to lift it out of the side of the bed. That'd take some work.

Theft protection? Who needs that. My motor is never in the frame anyways.

My means of theft protection is to take the kill switch out. Sure, they may push it for a while, but when they try to crank it, and it floods out, Im sure I'll find it withint 300 yards of my driveway.

Oh, my blue heeler doesnt like people coming up in the middle of the night either.

I keep mine locked in my shop.
But my best anti-theft device is insurance. $185 a year for peace of mind.

I agree with MOOSE. I use the chains, cables, locks, garages, .44mag, etc. But my State Farm insurance is what fixes things when someone gets past all those deterents (or if you get lazy just that one time....and it gets stolen)! The price of discipline outweighs the pain of regret. Get the insurance before it is stolen, not after!

I chain my P650 to my CR250 and then to my ZRX1100 and then to a steel beam in shop that is locked from inside with padlock on outside.

I tried the dog trick. I came home the first time, and my dog literally ate the vinyl and foam right off of my seat. All that was left was the white seat plastic. It was kind of ironic. He was there to protect it, and he started eating it. It cost me $85.

LoL quadfather, alot of dogs aren't too bright.

My anti-theft device is a Russian sks with bayonet and a 2 million candle power flashlight. If I shine that thing in someones eyes, it's brighter than the sun. Then if they pull a gun......boom boom

P.S. the sks is california legal I.E. no pistol grip and a ten round fixed magazine

(when it gets here) Will be locked in the house garage at night. Covered by ins. and my "friendly at day, protector at night" Mastiff.....a 200lb. almost 4ft tall dog, really scares people, especially at night when he's growling at you.

Well since we Canadians arent as fortunate to have guns a plentiful like you Americans, I use a lock threw the sprocket and chain. If the theiving little bastards can get threw all the crap in my locked garage, and me not hearing anything when I sleep directly above the garage, they're too professional to be stealing my quad. Trust me its not worth doing all that to get it. If it was a totally restored with ten grand into it maybe.
