Suzuki Quadrunner 500 vs. Yamaha Wolverine 350
#2
timberwolf_99,
I ride frequently with a friend who bought a 00 Quad Runner 500 (manual tranny, full time 4wd) a few weeks before I got my Grizzly. His will go about 55 mph, flat out, gravel road, long straightaway. Now I believe the Quad Master is the auto tranny version with the new Quadramatic transmission. My friend test drove both, but was limited to the dealer's parking lot. He said there was no comparison to the power, and the dealer said the auto version was good for only about 45 to 48 mph. If you want top speed and plenty of power, the manual version has plenty. I rode it before I bought the Grizzly. My friend didn't buy it just for the top speed, but felt the manual had better power to the ground overall.
Compare ground clearance, he tends to get highcentered and stuck in ruts the Grizzly and a Polaris Magnum 325 will walk through.
I have not ridden with anyone who has a Wolverine.
