Swytak, you're right, you couldn't GIVE me any of those '01 parts. When my mechanic said (before splitting the case) you may only have a bent shift fork. I then told him, it didn't matter if anything was broke in there or not - I am not leaving the '01 tranny in my quad!!
Thanks cause I'm gonna need luck getting the last 3 parts!

When I first thought about buying a new quad about 3 months ago my heart was set on the Raptor, then after reading horror stories about Yamaha I quickly changed my mind. There was no way I would buy a 6500 dollar quad to just have to spend more money on a new tranny or starter. Well I wish you guys lots of luck.

Let me start by saying, I don't wish bad on anyone! But, the Z has not been out long enough to see how well it will hold up to quad abuse yet either, uh?
It's a first year anything that will have problems! No, I am not sticking up for Yamaha, because Yes, thier service is down right horrible, I agree.
I just want to make a point here, that the Z is not proven yet in a quad chassis. I "hope" they proove to be very reliable though. I see the axle is starting to look alot like it was made by Yamaha, yea? I hope that's the beginning and the end of any Z issues.
