I adjusted my chain tonight on my raptor but when i did i noticed on the brake caliper side of the rear housing i could not get the gauge mark that you use to make sure your axle is straight to go as far forward as the sprocket side. i made sure everything was loose the sprocket side moved real freely but the rear brake side seemed like it was hanging on something. has anyone else had this problem and what do you do to make it move farther forward? I thought maybe there was crud or something in it causing it to hang so i ran the adjustment screw in and back out to where you could turn it out by hand and it kept hanging in the same spot. i got it close as possible but i do not want to screw anything up.please give me some ideas i could try.It looks like it should move alot farther forward then it did.

Ok, well it looks like nobody else is going to "TRY" and help this poor soul, so?

If the marks aren't lined up on the swing arm, DON'T RIDE IT. You will have the chain fall off or worse if your at higher speeds (crack your case).

I would start by, and I know you don't want to hear this but........., pull the axle out and take a look. The axle nut could have been cranked down past tourque specs and smashed your bearings, could be crap in the or around the bearings/swing arm, but obviously there is something there htat isn't right. So, why not tear it apart, clean it up and make it a learning experience? What do you have to loose? Just gain some knowledge about your Rap and you will also have piece of mind that it is clean in there.

If you need help tearing it apart, I will walk you through it here. Fair enough?

Hey Rob, loosen the 2 lock nuts on the right (as you are behind the quad), loosen the adjuster screws, and kick the rear tires forward. Kick 'em pretty hard.

I agree with gary, kick em hard & keep the pressure on em then, tighten the screws.
Don't worry about it too much, as long as it not too far off, mine came stock with the marks not aligned, everyone Raptor I've seen on the showroom floor was the same way too.
If you still got a warranty you can bust some Yam ***** & let the dealer try & fix it.
