Blaster Help
#1
Well I was jumping my 2000 blaster in my field (only getting about 2 feet high). I was only doing it in second gear (just revving it up real quick at the top of the jump) and I guess I wasn't giving it enough gas while I was in the air because it seems like the gears are stripped. I had it in first and tried to shift up and it then shifts up into nuetral then into second but after that i can site there shifting it up and it wont do a thing it just clicks. I am afraid that I really messed up big time. What is wrong and how much do you think it would cost me to fix? Thanks

Well I thought maybe it was because when your in the in the air the tire spin fast and when you land without giving it any gas it is a sudden stop to the tires spinning and that makes them strip but I dont know.

It may be the instant change in wheel speed......you could always buy some heavy duty gears and that should take care of your problem..i have never had a problem but it is harder to get to 2nd without hitting nuetral first!I usually give it no gas in the air and just let it land..........So are you gonna have to get new gears now??

Guess what i just noticed! The clutch cable is almost shot it holding on by 2 little threads when i pull it in all the way i can let off by 1 cm and it starts to go so i have probably been shifting with the clutch not pulled in enough. this sucks

i think i have figured out that because the clutch cable is messed up it wont pull in all the way so thats why it is stuck in 1st gear, or at least I hope so. I'll probably just take it to the yamaha dealer this week.
