I bought a 91 Baster that is blown up any body know how much it would be to rebuild the whole engine or would it be cheaper to buy a new engine if so how much would the engine cost .

probably the best way to find an engine will be to go to ebay and find one or get another blaster that is totally destroyed except for the engine at a junk yard.

 

Define "blown-up"
have you tore it down to see exactly whats wrong, if it needs a top end job I wouldnt run out and buy a new engine, is the bottom end destroyed? Blaster engines are little too simple to just trash the motor, unless the crankcase has a hole in it or something i dunno.

 

Ya, like a snowmobile engine if it blows it cost like 200-400 to rebuild (new pistons and seals).
