BigBlack, here ya go.
01 ratios:
Primary-71/34 (2.088)
Secondary-40/13 (3.076
1st gear-34/14 (2.428)
2nd gear-29/19 (1.526
3rd gear-26/21 (1.238)
4th gear-22/21 (1.047)
5th gear-19/21 (0.904)
Reverse gear-28/23x23x16 (1.750)
So 1st, 2nd, 3rd and reverse have all changed ratios from the 2001 vs 2002.
TOID,
Yea, I wish you were making the trip too! It should be alot of fun. Hopefully we can hook-up on the next trip.

TOID,
No, I haven't used the 02's yet in my quad. I have been running the 01's for the entire time and just decided since I invested all this money in the motor I would upgrade the trans to the 02.
I have ridden a couple of 02 Rap's though (had my buddies for a couple of days), and the only difference I noticed was there was NOT such a noticeable gap between 1 to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. It wasn't super noticeable, but I could tell there was a difference. I liked it alot better personally! You don't have to wind it out so much prior to shifting within thoughs particular gears, which makes it nice when trail riding especially. I should say though, that the trail riding I do is not tight trails, more like using 2nd where it is the tightest and it's not uncommon to mostly be in 3rd and on the straights hit 4th. So?
It doesn't take any time to really get used to, you just don't have to really wind her out to feel good in the next gear.

Swy, I agree that the '02 gears are alot more comfortable. I have a '01 but my buddy has a '02. I had to quit riding his due to it made me dislike mine. Did you buy a '02 tranny for yours. Have you had a problem with the 1-2 shift and catching neutral. I have that problem on mine but not my buddy's. Thanks.

Darn it ~ I can't wait to try them! THEMOOSE said I would really like them better. I think it's gonna be a great improvement with the new ratios on hardpack hillclimbs too. 1st gear before was too low and 2nd was too high for alot of the hardpacks that we climb here at the 'Badlands' and at 'Haspin Acres'. Some of the hills at 'Haspin' are a lot longer than the ones at the 'Badlands'. Swy you need to get out there!
Wish I could try them out this week while I'm on my 7 days off!! But don't look like it's gonna happen.
Swy, you should be up by next weekend huh?
Toid.
