warranty void?
#2
Who better to ask than your dealer or Yamaha?Regardless it maybe a good idea to wait for the warranty to expire before modding the Raptor.Even if the mod itself doesn't affect the warranty,it could come back to haunt you; example, you have a piped and jetted, and something happens bad, while the mods were fine, the dealer may say you were racing or "abusing" the quad in some way beyond its' intended purpose= voided warranty.Later.Enjoy the 660!

Call Yamaha direct and ask them. I assume you got the yes from yamaha? You can use the stock box with the stock style K&N filter and jet kits, Pipe kits etc and if something were to happen, just put everything back to stock before taking it in for service. JMO

Even a Twin Air dual stage foam filter would void your warranty!
BUT....it comes down to your dealer really. Yamaha service reps do not look at your quad when it comes in for warranty work unless you have a problem so big, that Yamaha finds it suspicous.
Your dealer and Yamaha know that people modify machines with bolt-on mods and USUALLY do not refuse to honor a warranty because of it unless it was proven that your mods caused the problem in question.
Internal engine mods are a different story entirely.

Ouch, to bad I barley could get the Polaris going, ha.
And I found out that when I put the carb back together I was pinching the gas line. So ha.
Who was in front all day? oh ya me... ha ha New raptor couldn't keep up, while it happens to the best of us.
