Carlisle tires
#1
Has anyone had any experiance with the Carlise Tracs Max. I ordered some and was wondering what to expect in mud, hard pack ride, snow and wear. Any help would be appreciated! Pics would be excellent!ARE THEY MORE AGRESSIVE THAN THE TRAIL WOLVES?

josh1,
I hate to disagree with other Forum members, but I think 95timberwolf needs more exposure to other tires. I ride with 2 people that have Strykers (very similar to old Wooly Booger tires) One is a 94 timberwolf, the other an 89 Suzuki 250 4-stroke sport bike. In both cases, the tires are terrible in mud. I used to ride a Kawasaki Bayou 220 with Carlisle Trailwolfs. I could go through something easily that they would either not make, or spend a minute spinning. The tires quickly become mud-packed, and even at high wheelspin, they don't clean themselves. From information given in many of the other posts, I would say you might want to look to someone other than Carlisle for some good tires. There was another post the other day about the same tires. One response was that they were also not good at self-cleaning.
No offense 95Timberwolf, but you might be surprised what your machine could do with better tires.

well i guess u havent seen me ride them. i ride through a lot of mud. i live right next to a creek bottom and i go riding down in there a lot, and when iu normally come back im all mudy. The strykers to clean them selfs. they dont get all caked up with mud. a while back i was driving through a muddy field, about 1 ft deep with mud, i drove through it just fine my tires stayed cleaned them selfs off and i never got stuck . if u dont believe me that they clean themselves off, well i cut ruts going through that field, if they didnt clean themselves off i would have gotten stuck. so what du u think about that?
