Today the bike is DONE.

Finally Yammy sent the floor supports to the dealer. No more "sagging floors"!!!

The heatshield came in last week and contains under tank foil/foam, gasline foil cover, and NEW sidepanels with vents cut into them.

As alot of you know that ride with me, i am hell on a bike. I cannot over stress how important it is to keep your VALVES within spec. After i decreased the heat in the engine compartment, and keep the valves checked, i have no longer had ANY problems with sputtering. I take that back, except in "reverse". BUT that was fixed by a cheap toggle and two pieces of wire. Bypass the reverse limiter with the "FACTORY" fixes and this bike has no more problems.

1500 miles, 140 hours and less than 5 months old.

i was beginning to think you finally found the hole of mud that ate you, heehee. its nice to hear from ya again. i am happy as all hell to hear your problems are solved!!!
i have been saying that for a while!!! i do my valves every 20 to 25 hours, and have releaced alot of heat with the side mods. i DONT SPUTTER!!! i have dogged this thing in mud, up hills, through water, in 90 + degree weather, and i dont overheat, and i dont sputter!!! i hit water at 20 + mph and soak myself, but it dont die, and it dont ever sputter.
i am glad you have it back, and its on a good roll again!!! remember, if you see a bear, turn right, lol!
by the way, i have planned a trip that way, but it isn't final yet. i am thinking myself and my brother might be able to sneak up there for 2 days of riding, mudding, and stukking, lol. it is looking like the 9th through the 11th of september!

Those Yamaha floorboard supports suck, and will soo start to sag just like the other ones were doing. I put the new ones on and took them off 2 days later because they were already sagging in the front. I put the ones that I modified back on and the plastic is all back to normal and the floorboards are solid as a rock.

Yamaha's side panels are a joke, those little slits aren't going to amount to crap....but if they were free then they were worth the price.

Good Luck,

Steve
