Anyone have any idea on how high the highest recording was? Whats the highest you have ever heard dB wise? I heard a DS this weekend that had to be atleast a 105dB. But Im sure you all have heard ALOT louder!

I don't know the db rating (a guess 120+db) but the loudest quad I've ever heard was a 500cc Banshee with drag pipes & no silencer. I was stuck behind him in the staging lanes & had to get off my quad before my ears started bleeding.

117DB at Horesefall about a years ago what the Ranger told me and that person got a ticket and told him no riding at all.... That is loud at the dune for sure while the Oregon state law is at 93db.
What quad was he on I have no idea.

My brothers car was 145.5db, but that was with 2 10"s,and one 12" lol. A F16 is 140db+, so I cant see a quad being more than 120db.

145.5, I saw a Bronco hit 180 a couple of years ago.

The db meter is kinda like the Rictor scale, every single digit # it goes up is an increase of 10 times, I think. Your alarm clock from 2 feet is around 80 db. Anything over 90 you are required, by OSHA, to wear ear plugs.

If you heard 145+db, you'd almost be unconscious... I play guitar and at live shows we're crankin 125db, and thats in huge venue's. Metallica tour for "and justice for all" measured in at 136db, and a lot of people fainted from it in arena's. \m/

Probably the loudest bike i've heard was my friends suzuki LT, no pipe just straight, cut off near the motor. It was so beyond loud that your ears would ring for 3 days. Good thing it blew up after a few weekends.
