no rear brakes on blaster

i just got a 97 blaster and it had no rear brakes so i put new pads on and that didn't help i adjusted as much as i could and still no brakes how can i fix this until i can afford the trega hydraulic rear kit? what is the best oil to put in the gear case? what is the widest rear tire i can get on the factory rim? i have itp blackwaters at 20x12x8 tire. who makes the best nerf bars?

i forget if it was blasterzone or blastercentral.com that had cheaper brakes not sure how to fix yours

sounds like the caliper needs to be rebuilt. mine needed to be done after 1 and 1/2 seasons of water riding. i bet if you take the caliper completely apart, its rusted or jammed and the self-adjusting mechanism is long gone on it. a mechanic re-did mine with existing parts and it works at 50% of braking power, but hey, have you seen how much yamaha wants for a new caliper???

just forget about the brakes. get razrs for the rear and go to trenga for the nerf bars.

i checked out the blasterzone.com and i am looking at the e version were i have to make my own brackets and comes with plastic lines. i was wondering if they work just as good as the trenga?

okay, here's what I did before I put hydro brakes on my baster- take the caliper apart and clean out the two disks whit some brake parts cleaner. be careful, or when you open the case the springs will send parts flying! let me know if that doesn't work.

I hear that graydon makes the best nerf bars......You should check with your dealer to see about gettin some of the 03 blaster brakes ,me and my dealer are gonna work out a deal to get me some!I wood not want to go too wide on the back tire,you will lose power!
