dialing it in
#1
hey all,
i have been playing with the plates and the idle adjustment on my grizzly for about a month, here and there. well, i finally desited, for ***** and giggles, to put all 12 plates in my supertrapp and turn out the idle screw to 3 1/4 turns.
wow, did this quad come to life!!! i finally got it dialed in like i wanted from the performance kit i installed! flat out, i am able to stand it up in low, every time i floor it, without pulling back, or even leaning back. i am having to lean foward to keep it from going over, lol!i can get it up in high, about 1 ft, without trying. if i try, i can get her to run a 20 ft wheely in high!
for anyone who has the highlifter performance package, give it a try. i am running a 155 main, clip on the 4th groove, and 3 1/4 turns out, with all 12 plates in the supertrapp, at sea level. it takes 10 minutes to change the plates, so if you dont like it, you can change it back. i was just surprised with all the power.

02 bigbear,
first i have to learn how to wheely it, lmao! as of right now, i am just pegging it, and its doing all the work. when i get to far foward, i let off the gas, lol. but, with the power, i am just sitting on the seat, and flooring it. no kneeling on the rack, or even sitting back for that matter, heehee.
***,
i used a grease on the bolts when i first installed them. every time i pull them out, i regrease them, to keep them from welding themselfs to the pipe. if yours has allready welded themselfs to the pipe, then i might just sudjest trying some heavy heat from a torch to loosen them up. as for the stripped one,i would just try breaking it off, and tapping right next to it, along with one other hole. kinda shifting the plates a little. good luck, and i hope you git it figured out soon.
