Grizz 660 speedo accuracy?
#1
hi, I just got a gps mount for my 02 grizz 660 and noticed that the electronic speedo isn't all that accurate. (I trust GPS as it matches my truck speedo)
at 20mph on gps, grizz speedo says 22mph, at 30 on gps, grizz says 34mph. and so on. faster you go, less accurate grizz speedo reads. I was testing it last weekend from 9000 - 10,000 feet above sea level range.
anyone else seen this before? any way to adjust the grizz speedo? I have stock tires and rims so far. (although I think the dunlops are pretty thin as I have already had to patch)
just curious what others are seeing. thanks in advance guys.

I did this once, then returned the GPS to Wal-Mart for my $160 bucks (kind of a cheap thing to do). Got 65 speedo, 60 gps. Walked away dissapointed.
Others have claimed high GPS numbers, though hard to say if they are measuring all out on a downhill or what. Top speed is something that seems to vary a great deal depending on sources. I had a cop also clock me at 59, and I never saw my speedo get over 60. Still, I'm pessimistic about top speed, and never want to be known as one that boasts of outrageous numbers. I'll comfortably say 62 and probably be safe on that. Still, I would like to know myself for dead sure.

I guess I'm gonna have to put a cruise control on my grizz too so I can take a picture of MY frickin GPS unit right next to the grizz's speedo. It's pretty close, a couple mph off(it'd be about dead on with 26" inchers), I strongly suspect they caliberated the speedo for tires other than the stockers that wound up on the grizz.
