Full Yosh Exhaust Guys, What Airbox Mods
#11
Well, I got the yosh system installed today. My idle circuits running a little lean. Gonna let it cool off so I can adjust it (what a pain in the @ss having to pull the carbs. You guys got a secrets to doing it without pulling the carbs?). I left the snorkel on, and the flaps where already trimmed. Put the (2) 1 3/4" holes in the lid. Am running the dial-a-jet on it too. To be honest, the DMC was a better pipe. The yosh is pretty strong on the bottom and mid range, but feels pretty week up top. Seems to rev out a lot faster than the DMC did. Still lots of fun, and glad it's running before I leave on a 3 day trip starting tomorrow. Has a real nice sound to it. Anyway, thanks again for everyone's input!

Hola wshrdskin-
Thanks for the info on that tool. I appreciate it. Man, is there anyway you could email or fax the tool to my house, just so I can use it this one time? lol...I'm gonna be riding at 9000-11000 feet for the next three days, so the idle circuit isn't an issue. Man, I am just tired of screwing around with the thing right now. We're in the middle of a heat wave, and I was outside dicking around with that thing all day. I'm gonna play around more with the jetting when I get back to see if I can squeeze a little more out of the new setup. Top end is a real disappointment, though. Definately time for a new cam. Got any recommendations? Down low it's pulling fine, don't need anymore bottom end. Looking for little more mid, and a lot more up top.
Well, it's time for pizza and beer.

Hotcams makes a cam design specificaly for a stock Raptor. 10-13% increase in HP and Torque. With most of the gains in mid-top end. So they say. I might get me one of those one day and see. Only 130 somthing dollars.
Hotcams
I bought my pilot screw tool at Chaparral one day when I was in there. Your local dealer should carry some Motion pro tools, most do. They may have one lying around on their shelf. Might be worth a try.
