Big Bear rear foot brake
#1
Anyone else have the problem of the little rubber pad (located on the frame underside) on their rear foot brake lever either coming off/tearing/etc.
I have now gone through 3 of these little doohickies and was wondering if it is only me ... or is there another type of material you can purchase/manufacture these in.
When it "fails" the foot lever gets caught up in hole in the housing ... not good when you need to put the brake on. It appears that this part is designed to "cushion" the lever when it is returned to its resting position.
I have a 98 BB SE with 1600km on it and a friend has a '99 Kodiak with less than 200km on it ... and his is already worn out (he didn't notice it until I showed him).
Any suggestions/ideas ... thanks in advance.
