Use needle nose pliers and a small amount of silicone spray and work the edges in cross pattern it will eventually work it's way out.
Don't forget to back out the small set screw on the buttom of the end cap.
Never mind, I was thinking you were talking about your spark arrestor. Remember by removing your baffle you'll your back pressure in your head pipe, thus a loss in low end torque.
