Piranha, it didn't sound like you were dissing the Banshee; I don't think anybody took it like that at all.

Anyway, I think we agree for play riding and mild jumping it is fine but that is certainly not it's strong point.

Crazyspeed, 50/50 is what you should mix at.

For the coolant, I recommend using Engine Ice, you run it straight. I put this in my banshee and it seems to run a lot cooler. I don't have a temp gauge, but I know a guy that says his Goldwing dropped about 25 degrees by simply changing the coolant.

Wyo, I believe you said at one time you had a temp gauge? Did you buy a kit or build it yourself? I am thinking about getting one. Also, if you would be interested in changing to Engine Ice, I would be happy to send you a bottle to try since I am curious as to how much the temp actually dropped. Just PM me.

As for the suspension, I think the fact that front shocks are more straight up than other bikes contributes to the choppiness. Plus, the frame is wide. Look at a raptor lower shock mount and the width of the frame between upper a-arm mounting brackets. Personally, I think the banshee rear works great when adjusted right.

Alky, go here WyoDuner's Banshee Temp Gauge Mod to see how it's done. It's simple and cheap - about $10 if you buy everything new. Also, Vito's has a 2" round automotive style gauge and kit that he sells for $69 which looks OK if you don't mind putting a 2" hole in your plastic. Don't buy the Warp Drive kit as it is $35 and basically the same thing as my $10 mod.

I've heard good things about the Engine Ice - DSAholic uses it and he feels his DS runs cooler. Thanks for the offer but why not do the temp gauge mod and see for yourself.
