wow, so much feedback already! thanks guys... i mentioned the problems to my dads buddy who also knows a lot about quads and he told me i should get it re-jetted... i didnt know i had to do that when got te pipe put on. surprisingly no1 told me. the atv safety course i took helped me ride a little more responsibly and safer, but i love the feeling when she is wide open. im going to get it re-jetted asap. hopefully that will fix my problems. thanks all for your help.... in the meantime my dad just bought another '03 raptor for himself. he fell back in love with riding after i got mine... we'll see if he has any similiar problems. well im off to go practice wheelies in my backyard... thanks all!

ive been messing with the gearing on my raptor, ive put a 12 toothe front, the stock 13 and just got my 14...with my pipe and jetting the bike still grunts with the 14 toothe, great in the woods let me tell ya...havent bent nothin yet...once you find the center of ballance on the raptor you can ride it out easy like a 400ex,just gotta find the spot, it feels a little far back but comfortable..good luck with the raptors.

I know I'm a honda guy, but can totally feel for newer riders on bigger machines. I went from a recon to a 400. A few weeks ago after a nice table top jump my 400 tried to eat me when it landed and sucked me right off the bike, then last week I was riding some sweet wheelies and I went past the sweet spot and snaped the stock grab bar right off. I'm running out of things I feel comfortable doing on this bad boy and I've been riding for close to ten years, I think I'm loosing my edge LOL!
