I need a good pipe, and I figured that a slip-on would be good enough for now. I have it narrowed down to either a WHiteR4, Yoshi comp, Bills, LRD (do they make a slip-on) or DMC dual. Any other suggestions? I have about $400 to play with, and I will be ordering a pro-flow kit, and Dynojet kit with it.

Also, where is the best place to buy from? The quad shop?

my B in-law had a R4 on his Raptor and that pipe kicked a$$ he could wheelie just by punchin it to half or 3/4 throttle. It really improved the acceleration and top end also. I would vote for the R4, It looks cool too

It's not on your list but I have a Pro Circuit T4 and I love it. It made a huge difference. It looks sweet, is made really well, and saves some weight. I agree with you as far as not buying a complete system. Most of the time the after market header pipes only benefit you in a slight weight reduction. And if they do have bigger header tubes, it could even lower the torque out put. Now on the other hand, if you had a high compression piston and a high RPM cam with head porting, then a bigger header pipe would show more power. On a stock engine there is no real power benefit to going to an after market header pipe except for looks and maybe a little weight savings. Don't worry too much about which slip on you choose though, they will all make a very noticeable difference. Good Luck

Get LRD and give them a call and see what they got to say..... You won't be disappointed at all....

I got mine after having WB E-serie and it really make a big different....Like a brand new bike with that LRD pipe.

Since you shot down my Alba pipe a while back. (Your loss, IMO) You may want to consider the maintanance on the slip on of your choice. The R4 requires a new set of rivets to repack. Thus, a rivet gun, drill, etc.

There was a quad running an LRD complete pipe at pismo the last time I was there. He weighed, I'd guess 50-75 lbs less than me. He would beat me by 2-3 lengths each time.

Before you say, thats because you have an Alba pipe, I was beating others, that include a DS650 and a Baja 650 and a piped banshee 1 time as well. The DS by 3 lenghts or so and the Baja by 1 length or so. The Banshee wasn't running well IMO.

As for the LRD I don't know if they use allen screws or rivets. Maybe Desracers can help you out there. I don't think the Alien has a slip on but could be wrong, they didn't use to. Any pipe you choose will improve your quads response and power IMO.
