My brother is buying some wheels for his '93 warrior and we are debating between a set of stock wheels and tires that are near perfect(2001 warrior) or getting a set of douglas .190s. They are pretty much the same price so, which would be the stronger wheel?

Thanks

MX

The 190's are 10 times stronger than stock wheels plus theyre lighter and look better. If you can get 190's for the price of some stockers THEN GO FOR IT!!!

No disrespect to warrior620 but it's been my experience that the stockers seem to hold up a bit better than the .190s (non rolled edge). The .190 rolled-edge are probably better than stock but I've ruined every pair of .190 non-rolled wheels I've tried. Admittadly, I've hit some rocks over the years but I'm actually back to running the original stock wheels on my 1990 instead of the .190s!! If ya get .190s I'd go rolled edge.

See ya, Eric

FISHER1648, I saw no dissrespect in your post i forgot to mention that my 190's were rolled edge. That is what this forum is for, to make a decision over several different opinions.

I assume you're talking about the Red Label rims. Your OEM rims are very much stronger. I had the Red Labels on my Warrior and had to replace two of them that were so badly damaged at the bead area that they couldn't be bent back. If you plan on replacing the OEM rims, your best bet would be to go with the Douglas Ultimate conventional. I sold my OEMs when I got the Red Labels or I would have dumped the Douglas rims quickly.
