I know how automobile gear ratios work but have never dealt
with motorcycles so bear with me. I did a search on Gear Ratios
and found the numbers but what I don't know is what they
mean. I am not sure what the primary gear reduction means.
I know that the final reduction ratio is the front and rear sprocket...
but for first thru fifth gears two numbers are given. Are they the
number of teeth of two gears that are meshing in that gear or how
does this work? thanks in advance.
