We have three guys that might go to FSW. The only problem is that none of us have a vehicle capable of pulling two let alone three quads for anywhere near that distance. Anybody have any ideas. I thought about a rental with an unlimited mileage plan, but I haven't checked into it yet. Any ideas please help. We have 2 s-10 and a Trans am, so there is no way we could do it like that.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like the rental route is probably the only way at this stage of the game. You'll have 3 guys to split the cost with so it probably wont be that bad.

if you are gonna call for rentals, like a box van, don't tell them you want to carry quads or they'll turn you down. Also get a round trip qoute as well as seperate one way qoutes to find the best rate. A box van to hold 3 quads will get 7-8 MPG. Good luck man, sounds like an awesome trip.

Thanks for the reply. I was actualy thinking about renting a Suburban or something similar. I worked, for a few weeks, while helping a friend set up a new Ryder store so I kinda know the cost, WAY to much.

Just go out rent the boxvan and let them know that you are using in your town area, then when you head out to Glamis, just disconnect the odemeter cable from the transmission and when you head back to town just plug it back. That way you pay the daily rate, not the mileage rate.
Would that work for you?

You guys should just all go in on an old school bus. They can be had for less than $1200 for a decent one. Thats what me and a friend are doing. Make your own camper/RV with quad storage in the back. You can get it titled as a motorhome so you dont have to get a commercial truckers license but check your local laws.

1200 for a decent one? Thats a really good price if it runs well, plus a school bus would just plain be a lot of fun.

Most truck/van rentals do not allow towing. When I checked on a 15 passenger van for a round trip to Indy it was $1000.

If one the S-10's you mentioned has a 4.3 V6, it is more than capable of pulling a U-haul trailer with 3 ATV's.
