When I sold boats this came up alot. Small cars or luxury cars and large boats. I always told them to buy an older pre 80's f-250 F-350 (I'm a Ford man) for a couple of hundred, throw a rebuilt motor in in and just use it to tow with. You used to be able to find them around here for under $1,000 and rebuilt 360 or 390's are only 500-1,000 bones. This way you keep the truck and who cares what it looks like as long as it's mechanicialy sound.
Look forward to seeing you guys there.
Just a thought.

I have tought about that Smitty. I tried it with a chevy for $600 with a brand new rebuilt motor, with records from the shop. It got sold out from under me.
RRR what about our other rider, have you heard from him?

2 scenarios:
1.
Use the S-10. One in the back and tow a double wide snowmobile trailer. The trailer won't add too much to the weight of the tongue when balanced properly. I used to tow 2 600 pound Polaris 4x4's with my v6 Camry.
Your total weight on the trailer will be around 1000 pounds and the trailer is probably 400 pounds. Check you tongue and tow ratings on the truck.
If you were thinking about spending $400-$500 on a rental, then why not get your S-10 suspension repaired, or upgraded?
2.
Use both S-10's and a single trailer on one. Sure, you won't all be able to ride together, but you will get there....
If there is one hint I can provide, get a proper chain and cable lock for the quads, if you are staying at a motel or campground on the trip out there. It would really bite if you had the quads lifted the night before.....
