Welll i finally got my winch for my grizz, and after 2 1/2 hours i finally got to test it out. I have a question about using it though. I want to use it to skid logs in the woods, when i do that, what do i do? I thought using the parking gear would hurt the machine, would it? or do i hold the brakes in?
On a side note, is the roller fairlead worth the $40?

The roller is WORTH every penny. It will save your cable 10X over.

As far as skidding logs....i have used my bike now all summer skidding with the parking brake on. It is the only way that i could do it with the really heavy ones. I usually keep in low and pull them out forward with the trees tied to the back hitch (when in the open). I have tried to pull with the winch and in gear (reverse) with the override on but have seen the belt slip on me.

Hope this helps....ask any time, any thing
