The only thing else I would be interested in seeing is the "lobe center" for the intake and exhaust for the stage 2 cam.

Anybody have these specs for any of these cams?

I know I have the lobe center for the 461, 696 and 737 cam around here somewhere (dam office is a mess).

Oh, here is the 461 cam lobe center 106 degree Intake and 107.5 degree ex.
I'll keep looking for the rest fo them.

I am having a custom ground cam being made as we speak and I am hoping to have it back in the next week. Chances are it should be alot better then whats currently available by what specs I have seen from Web and Hot vs. what my new cam will be.

thanks for the info.are the hot cams duration numbers given at .050 lift or they using some other number.if i remeber correctly i think their given at 1mm witch should equal .039 inches.kinda makes it confusing when tring to compare, lobe center would help.its interesting to see the two companys differant approches to cam design.

swytak,

Lobe centers are IN. 106 EX. 104 On the hot cam stage two. The hot cam also
has no decompression unit! I haven't installed this one yet and am not sure if it will
cause a problem with the higher comp. pistons.

Thanks 2-S-D!

Yes, without the decomp mechanism and higher comp (especially 12:1 or higher) it will cause you fits. I know, I am going through it right now.

Just make sure your battery is always fully charged and you'll be fine. Start-up for the first time of the day seems to be toughest for me. Once she's warmed up or been started once during the day, no problems at all.

If you keep the decomp mech though, it causes fits for you if you trail ride at all. Lugging it is just a pain with it.

Always a trade off somewhere!

Thanks again for the Stage2 lobe centers.

Derby, your right. If they give you the specs at something other then .050 then it makes things hard to compare. Usually on Web you get 2 different specs though. A duration number and a duration number at .050"

Anybody care to comment on how Hotcam provides their numbers?

I replaced a 736/737 web with a stage II cam friday night in my trinity 686. The bike is much quicker in the mids and top end. I have a friend with a banshee that would easily pull away from me when he hit third gear. Well, that is not the case anymore we are dead even throughout the run.

The compression release from the stock cam fits right in the stage II cam.

swytak,

Thanks for the info, can I get some more? What piston bore do you run? What
comp. piston, make? Have you had any head chamber work done? And what cam
( duration? )

Have you had any starter clutch problems yet with the no decompression setup? I
know I have replace mine and one other one already and wondering if this is going
to
make it worse! Thanks for any info.

PS. what's your signature all about ?? "The Compound"-(FSW)

Default raptor cdi boxes?

Good post 14, really!

So it looks like if we (Rap owners) want this product, we all need to "overwhelm" Dyna with e-mails and/or phone calls, telling them there is a demand for them. Maybe, just maybe they will pick up the pace and get these things made for us by Christmas!

Here is their e-mail: info@dynaonline.com
Here is the phone number: (626) 963-1669

If there is interest, call or e-mail them and make sure to tell them there is a definite interest for this product!
