i put my 99warrior in the shed two weeks ago and this weekend when i went to take it out and sat on it i realized that the rear shock felt different. IT was springy. Usually when i would hop on it, it would absorb the shock but have a deadness to it, now i feel like im on a trampoline...whats wrong? the front shox r fine. its just the rear.

ALso, my chain it loose, do i have to buy a new chain or can i take a link off. (sorry if this is a stupid question) O, also when im flying at a high rpm in 5 or sixth gear, sometimes it cuts for a second and then keeps on running, almost as if im going to run out of gas. Just flying and power stops for a split second then instantly resumes and jerks me forward. any ideaS? thanks for all your help

the chain can be easily tightened by losening some bolts and sliding the backend backwards, in you manual it will have more detailed instructions!

Well simply when a shock is real spongy and bounes up and down that means it's worn out and you need to rebuild it or get a new one. BUT I don't know how it could do that sitting in your shed. I guess you could check the shock stiffness it might be really soft,

yeah but how would that happen. It was fine as much as i could tell. Didnt really do any hard riding. Could it be that the compressed air bottle leaked or something. Or the rebound needs to be adjusting. I find it hard to believe that the shock just coulda went. thanks for replies

I would say yes you're shock is definatly broken, I have no idea how it did that sitting in your shed but by how you describe it that is a worn out dead shock. You could try to see if the botle's leaking if it still has any pressure put soap around it and see if bubbles come out. Or it could just be the coil. It shouldn't be that expensive but will probably be a bit of labor. (check ebay for some used ones also), well goo luck
