web 736/737 vs hot cams stage II
#1
I replaced a 736/737 web with a stage II cam friday night in my trinity 686. The bike is much quicker in the mids and top end. I have a friend with a banshee that would easily pull away from me when he hit third gear with web cam. Well, that is not the case anymore we are dead even throughout the run.
Has anyone had any clearance problem with the valve stem seal on the center valve like the directions are stating?

I went to the hot cams website and it indicated that I would have to run 95 octane race fuel with their cams for the Raptor. Is that really necessary? I run avgas in my LT500 because I've raised the compression considerably but with a stock piston in my raptor couldn't I use pump gas. I ride mostly at the dunes in Idaho and Utah with the elevation near 5000 ft. I wouldn't mind raising the compression also but I want to keep running pump gas on this machine. Premium pump gas in Utah is only 91 octane.

Good question. I have been waiting for a call from Kibble White for a few days now with no luck. I have been told no problems but I would measure to be possitive. >>
There are some tests for precations you should take. PM me and I will explain!
If you don't do the measurements to make sure of proper clearance, it could be bad news for you at high rpm's.
