BiggerisBetter - Did we ever race? I don't remember if we raced at Aledo or not.

 

I have rode most of the machines out there and I would have to say that the only machine that would give a 400EX any competition would be the old Tecate 250's. The 400EX is an awsome machine second to none.

 

some 400ex's are ok but the fastest ive seen is a sparks 465 on alky. with the right tires he beat me by at least 2 quad lengths at pismo over 400ft. those of you that saw me at sand mtn. know my quad isn't too slow. on the short comp hill i could edge him out. this qaud would leave even jeff looking for more power(when not using nitrous of course)

 

NO sir, never did.

but hopefully I will make the next Aledo get together.

We have a long hill at LA dunes here and I watched a guy on a 400EX beat every thing that pulled up. I have not Idea what he had in it but I did see a blue bottle strapped to the frame so I know he was on the juice. It did not sound like a 440 to me it sounded a ton bigger. I have seen 1 that the case was bored and it was bumper to 500cc and that thing was a rocket.

 

first i wanna say just because i am a 400ex owner i am not being biase. now with that being said i will tell you this story.

i was at a local drag race a few weeks ago and i was watching the super modified class i think. it was one step below the classes where quads had sled motors and street bike engines and stuff. so basically it was stock motors that were built to the hilt. anyways there were some mean quads in that class but the last 2 left where a 440EX and a ron woods stage 3 DS650 and it might have even had a big bore kit i don't remember. anyways neither of the riders where slouches at all, and to make a long story short the 440 won by quite a bit. they both had good starts and hooked up and everything. the ds guy was really suprised. anyways don't underestimate the EX's they can be built to be really quick (the ex's ate up the z's in the 400 stock class that day too by the way)

 

Did any of you go to pismo on the portagese celebration weekend???? There was a mad fast 400ex up there... I dont know what he had on it but he had to have atleast at least a 440 sparks kit if not a 465 kit.. It was a sparks bike extended swing arm and was lightened. The first day i saw him up there he didn't have paddles on it but it was still relly fast!! I was on my 400 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img](wished i had the raptor..) and he raced me and beat me pretty bad[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]. He was with some other guys with sparks bikes and they were fast to. I was relly close with 1 or 2 of them but they were all fast. There were also some relly bad *** drag banchees there . I didnt see him race them but he had the fastest 4-stroke there for sure. Not to many raptors there but the ones that i saw wernt relly fast.

 

What all mods were on the banshee's that were getting out run. I am not taking nothing away from the EX but man that is hard to belive.

Did it have a yellow frame with chrome stock width a-arms and red plasic? If its the same one I know what you mean. He humbled, no just all out embarrised me at LA Dunes awhile back. Not long after that, same day, he and another guy had a collision at WOT.
