i have a 1994 banshee and the clutch lever is really hard to pull compared with newer banshees. anyone have any idea why it would be so difficult to pull? spring adjustment, lubrication, etc? help out... thanks

I have a 98 Banshee and my clutch became hard to pull also. I replaced the clutch cable (about $15-$20) and it made a HUGE difference. They also make a cable luber that may help also. Something else that seems to help is to remove the clutch lever and put a little grease where the lever pivots.
The bad thing about the Banshee clutch cable is that it does not have a rubber boot to protect the bare cable where it connects on top of the motor. When I ride, mud tends to build up right there on top of the motor and get sucked up inside the cable when you work the clutch.

I use the EZ-Pull clutch kit from Speed racing products. Magic racing sells it for 29.95. Will reduce pull by 30%. Seems better than that. Lube your cable everytime you ride. Cable lubers are less than 15.00. I use three heavy duty springs with three stock springs in my clutch and it still is very easy to pull.

Very common for Banshees to have a stiff cable. My '98 has been riden very little and is getting stiff even though I use the cable luber on it. I recommend a new cable every 1-2 years. I've seen some older Banshees that I could barely pull in much less ride all day with. A $15 cable is well worth the money.
