Cheap Warrior mods?
#1
Yeah I just bought a new truck and dont really have much money but I would still like to try and throw a few bucks here and there into my new Warrior. Any ideas? Cash flow is VERY low right now so im talking like things that might cost around 60-70 bucks? Or would I just be better off waiting until I get some real money?
Once I get more money im putting HoleShot XCT's on it and a SuperTrapp pipe. A second question anyone know of a setup that you could use to get more low end without losing any of your top speed? If not then what about just getting more power throughout your entire power band? Thanks for the help everyone! =- )

I'd first off drill my airbox lid with 9 1-inch holes, install a K&N or UNI air filter with outerwears, drop the needle clip down one notch. Install a white bros torque stuffer. All this should be under your $60 goal and make a very noticeable difference. The next thing I'd do is install a steering damper it's the best low buck handling mod you can do. Next go for some good tires. I'd stick with 22" rears for ground clearance. Not really a performance issue but the very FIRST thing a Warrior NEEDS is some skid plates!!!

Those are great suggestions. You can also take the baffle out of the pipe for a slight increase in power and also an increase in noise. Dura blue makes a an air filter plate adapter like the proflow model that is half the price of the proflow. It's available from Nacs.

At the very end of the pipe there is a small bolt facing the ground that hold the baffle in the silencer. Just take out the bolt and pound out the baffle. The baffel is pressed into the silencer. I took a chisel and angled the handl towards the front of the quad. Make sure and do this from the top, bottom and both sides so it will come out straight. Once it starts coming out of the silencer you can put some vise grips on it and hit them with a hammer till the baffle comes all the way out. Hope you can understand my description of this.

ihave a 99 and i've sunk close to 3000 bucks into performance parts and i can say i have a supertrapp 4" disc RCM pipe and headpipe, they cost around $180 and make a big difference when you put all the discs in and jet to the pipe..holes in the airbox are useful if you can't get the jet quite right.. i also put in a White Bros. cam valves and valvesprings this really brings the motor to life
