i was starting in 1st. as bad as i was beating those guys i shoud have tried 2nd a few times. i had room for error. haha. it just never crossed my mind. i've gotta get a 14 tooth sprocket. i truely believe it will make a 4-5mph top end difference.

Why I was asking about the tire is I am looking for somebody that has used a flat and round profile tire on the bar. I have a round profile tire, I won't tell what its from though. I see most people, like Moose, that use a flat tire. I know his is for the sand a a round tire wouldn't work as well there but I could think of another ex. I have never had any problems with mine throwing me sideways. The only problem I have is wheel hop, its not bad any more but still a little. Anyway has anybody used both?

 

did it not show your 1000' times? the track i race just goes to the 1000'. i have never went full throttle to it and the best i've been is 10.33 at 62MPH. has anyone got a 1000' time or track they can race? if so i will run mine own through to compare times.

 

no. the 300' and 1000' wasn't printed on any of my slips.
i agree having fun is the most important. the wins are the icing on the cake. i think that's pretty good times for stock bore and no head work on 93 octane pump gas.
the weird thing is that the fastest top speed came from a ****-eyed start that i had to let out of. i've got the idea for the new tire set-up on my bar in my head. so when i get the first chance i'll fix it.

Are they still running the dirt drags at Kilmichael?? I haven't heard much from that area in a while so i thought I would ask.

we were at lena race track near carthage. real nice set-up. the last i heard about kilmichael was that there were a lot of big-time racers going there now. i can't imagine. we'll have to go sometime. may be ward will come too.

Give me two weeks. Where is it at? We need to go to Brookhaven, lots of big guns there.

 

i have been running a 18-41 gearing. i'm going to go with 18-36 on the next trip.
