RRR- I vote for 8.7 in the 1/8th. Your 12 tooth is going to kill you though. Can you launch in third with that set-up?? WE all run 14's down here and launch in 2nd gear. You will wheelie up and over with a 12 and a 1st gear start. Good luck and i hope u are faster than 8.7

RRR that should work, good luck. Are you going to start in 1st or 2nd?? The 60 foot times kill me. Most are 2.0 or slower. Got to get down to 1.85 on regular basis. I know change my time predection to 8.45

14mins? is your motor stock? I ran the 14 too, and it would get out in 2nd well enough to me.

RRR--- Good luck, but I think that if you went with the 14/40, you could probably run it out the entire 1/8 (1st through 4th) be careful with that wheelie bar, the night I went a couple of guys had them on their banshee's and it hurt them. It would rare up and on the bar, setting them crooked, then they would have to let out and straighten up, then go again...But once again, good luck and let us know how ya do...

o.k. i used my wheelie bar and changed the sprocket. and yes the wheelie bar was pulling every now and then to one side or another but nothing too bad. the air pressure was the same in each tire but the track was so freakin' sticky it was pathetic. these guys were out there with a flame thrower keeping the starting line hot so it would stick. one cool thing was doing some burn outs after rolling through the water.
anyway here are my times....
fastest slowest
1.84 60' 2.306
----- 330' ----- obviously not hooked up tonight
8.913 1/8 9.313
72.12 mph 69.90
----- 1000' ----- ditto
14.78 1/4 15.33
80.82 mph 79.30

i was very pleased with this turn out. and it was a blast. i was destroying all these "fast and furious" honda cars. it was hilarious. there was only two other quads. both 400 exs. i raced a nissan 240sx with nitrous and beat him as well. atleast that what the guy told me before the race. i don't really know how those cars are supposed to run w/ nitrous but it wasn't impressive. i thought he was b.s.ing but the guys that went with me said they could hear him hit the nitrous when he went by. it sounded like a shot of air to me when he raced someone else later. i don't know anything about nitrous so you can tell me anything you want. i wasn't beat all night. that was the best part. i only raced around 10+ times. no one really wanted to race. i did race a chevy truck, i don't know how many honda cars, a mustang, the other 4 wheelers, a mitsubishi eclipse spider thing...i guess that's about it.
as you can tell by the times after 1/8 that was all it was good for. there was several races where i caught myself trying to shift, looking for 6th i guess. haha. the engine was there but the gearing wasn't i'll try a 14 next time.
i was pretty impressed with no more mods than i have done.
14mins you were very close on those 1/8 guesses.

What kind of tire do you have on the bar?

funny you asked that. i was running some white plastic lawnmower wheels on the bar. the first run i blew both rubber treads off. lmao. so every race after that i just rode on the rims. they held up quite nicely. i'll have to find something better than those. i've got some solid rubber tires with bearings in them. but i'll have to modify my bar for them to work right. no problem.
since it's getting cooler, i don't know how much longer they are gonna be open. so don't wait too long.
i have never seen mosquitoes that big in my life. i killed one that was so big i actually found it...in the dark....on asphalt. we had to get a closer look at that thing. it looked like it had a steak knife on it's grill. it was so big it could stand flat-footed and "mate" with a turkey. (ya never know could be kids reading this)
