Raptor clutch problem
#1
i have a 2002 raptor. i bought it used and the previous owner had burnt out the clutch and it was replaced under warranty. about 3 weeks ago i changed the oil (running klotz techniplate 10 w 40) and now if i let out the clutch and let off the throttle it will keep going forward to where its at a walking pace speed and im not giving it gas. the clutch seems to work fine besides for that. it shifts fine and when you pull it in it disengages but it wont come to a stop if you let off the gas. is my clutch going and how much does a replacement cost? thanks for the help.

I hope this is a serious post otherwise I'm gonna look like an idiot
Yes, what you seem to be describing is normal. Try this. Start up the raptor and put it in first gear. Don't touch the throttle but let the clutch out slowly. If your on level ground the torque from the engine should get you going without use of the throttle. Now when the clutch is all the way out you should be going at a walking pace w/o use of the throttle. It is normal my man.

ill try adjusting the clutch tomorrow. it does this while in gear. i can be cruising around in 1st gear and just let go of the handlebars completely and ill keep moving just as if i was riding regularly.

That is completely normal. Don't change a thing!

Swytak is right don't adjust anything. Any manual clutch atv/bike/car is going to do that, or should.
