HAy i just wanted to see if anyone else in here has a racing lawnmower and if you do what do you got on it?????Mine is just for fun and climbing hills and riding in the sand but it is pretty fast for a mower......so far my mods.....removed govenor,no air box with new air filter, modified stock exhaust, removed about 50 pounds of extra stuff on it ,diffrent pullys all the way around ...does about 20-25 right now and will climb some big hills...I run 1 pound of pressure in my tires right now..my next mods are holeshot tires 18 x 9.5 on the back and a lot smaller pulley in the back to get it to about 55 mph.......anyone else out there love there mower??

I know a guy that has a "pulling" lawn-mower. He has a ported and polished, balanced 1100cc, V4 out of a V65 MAGNA, that is matched to a 4 speed transmission out of a old jeep. The motor puts out around 165 hp. It is ONE BAD *****!!!!

I know a guy with one that races round track with it. He has all kinds of goodies, pipe, carb, I don't know what else. It will run about 65 top end, and gets there in a hurry. I just can't imagine doing that on the same front spindles that come on them.

We have a lawnmower racing organization here. All the proceeds go to chairty and it's just a good time for everyone. I'm gonna start racing next spring.

I made a very cheap Sears go around 35 mph. All i did to it was change the rear pulley from around a 6" to about a 1". The rearend was aluminum, so it only lasted about a day and a half. The axle shot out the side while I was going down the highway! LOL! But it was fun while it lasted!
