Default Help me pick a piston......

I just spent a while shopping around and I can't seem to find a place with all my choices. About all I can find are these darn 10.25-1 Wiseco pistons. What I want is a 11.1 or 11.25- 1 JE race piston. All ebay has is Wiseco pistons. JE is suposed to be better than Wiseco isint it? ie. smoke less rattle less..... Hey, and can I run an 11-1 with 92 octane pump gas? if no then I guess ill settle with the 10.25-1. I know the 11.0+ - 1 piston will generate more heat, but if its a problem ill buy an oil cooler. Oh, and if its not worth atleast 1hp I wont bother either, anyone know how many hp the extra compression is worth?

(All this is for the 98 warrior)

Default Help me pick a piston......

I bought the warrior 440 cam,10.75 JE piston and valve springs w/retainers from alba. It made a world of difference. The bike already had a Big Gun full system,Dyno jet,K&N filter. After the kit Ive installed a 1 tooth larger primary sprocket for a little extra top end. works great!

I have heard JE is Wiseco now.

Also I have the 12:1 aries, its ok but needs race gas. I would go 11:1 at the most if doing it again. I also have the biggest cam you can fit in it, the top end is incredible. If in 6th gear and cresting a small incline I can hold a wheelie for about 100 feet (12 tooth sprocket)

I think im going to get a 10.75:1 or 11:1. I kinda dont wanna buy the oil cooler, to much trouble to install, I might never get it back together at this rate. Needs now cam chain, clutch work, rear brake, then put together and break in my engine. Should be able to ride some time before the world ends.
