A friend of mine just purchased a 03 Kodiak 400 and is having the same problem that a lot of people get with the 660. When the hot engine hits water, the steam gets into the intake and then then the carb and causes a stumbleing of the engine. At my suggestion he removed the engine covers on each side and this has eliminated the problem, but he wants to extend the breather to underneath the handle bars. Nothing drastic like a snorkle or anything, but just a slight modification.

Yamaha offers no such thing. Can someone direct me to a web site that may offer what he is looking for.

Also, on the 660 I know which wire to ground to eliminate the rev limiter, the green and white. But the wireing is different on his 400. anyone know which wire to ground?
