Could be worse, mine dosent make any sound. On yours is the sound coming from the actual starter? can you turn the engine over by hand? Could be any number of things. If your high compression you may have like worn it out or something (starter).

warrior makes click when i push the starter???? HELP??
I was thinking maybe he siezed the engine but I didnt want to be so pesemistic thats why I asked if he had tryed to turn it over manually. Dont hear too much about warrior starters quiting, dont hear about them siezing either..... dont really hear about em breaking except for little stupid stuff.

your problem is probably simple---first get a teat light and find a good ground--battery preferrable---there are two large wires going to your starter selonoid--one should be hot with the key on--if that is good go to the other large wire and hit your starter button---if it does not light your selonoid is bad---if it oes light when you hit the starter button you need to work on your starter---can't be much else-------ride safe---

Ok Ill give it a shot, Mine done the same thing a few months ago. I pulled the starter apart and the brushes where worn out. I cleaned them with a file and this worked for about two weeks. I bought a new set of brushes and replaced them it hasn't missed a lick since. Mine would click at the solenoid when It all started. I think you need to take it apart.

I know this sounds kind of funny but I had a 95 and had the same problem it turned out to be the Reverse switch. I ended up having to take the wire off the switch (dont remember wich one) and bypass the switch all together (just grounded the wire to the frame).

Mudman, the clicking you hear is the starter relay under the left fender. Since it is clicking tells me that at least you have power to this point. IE: the ignition switch and starter switch are doing their thing. From there could be couple things. Bad connections at either end of the battery cables? Weak battery, has enough voltage for the starter relay but not enough amps to turn the starter. Try jump starting from a 12V auto battery. Bad starter, good quick test would be to hold the starter button for a bit. Lay a hand to the large starter wire running from the starter relay to the starter. If everything else is okay and just the starter being bad this wire I suspect would be rather warm to downright hot.
