What gear do most of you race your raptors up competition hill at dumont in? Normally i race it in 2nd but that seems to rev out the motor by about the first half of the hill. I just cant get all the way up the hill when i shift to 3rd. I have a 2001 raptor with a big gun slip on, prodesign K&N and rejetted. If i change my sprocket will that let me go up in 3rd? Or would i need a whole new gear setup? Do i need piston and cam? 686? 727? thanks for your help.

 

a 12 tooth front may help a little but i don`t know i have had to cut off my quad spending for the holidays (i got lots of family, frineds to buy for)
but i know my local dealer sells tons of them
