My friend just bought a '92 Banshee, it's his first quad. I'm trying to make it a little easier for him to handle. The only mods I can see are, PSI pipes and 18" Holeshots. What is the easiest way to broaden the power curve?? We do mainly trail riding so I told him to get 20" rear tires. Also, the rear shock is great, but the front doesn't seem to handle very good. It has new Holeshots on the front, so I know that isn't the problem. On my practice track, I can run consistantly 2 seconds faster on my modified 300ex than on the Banshee. I know that the Banshee should just kill the ex....I need some advice on making this easier to ride please and thankyou.

Try putting the stock pipes and 26 mm carbs back on. this will give you more bottom end and user freindly power. as for the front end if you have stock a arms trying turning the wheels for more wheel base........

Once you get the Banshee back to stock form, you will want to put a DynoPort/MotoFast 2 into 1 pipe on. These pipes are for woods racing and motocross. Then you should replace the stock airbox with something from ProDesign.Add new tires 21front and 20 rear. Add some skid plates and change the main jet. It will be 270 to 200.

Hope this helps!!

Lengthen the intake tract with reed spacer. Raise compression. Dual-stage reeds. Fatty or torque pipe with short, small-diameter silencer. If you go to Eric Gorr's web page, he has the details. www.eric-gorr.com

Thanks for the advice..My friend really likes the PSI pipes, I'm not sure why, but he does. I think he'll want to keep them. It still has the stock carbs on it. I'll try the reed spacers and reeds first. I'm hoping that by putting bigger tires on the back, it will put a little more weight on the front for cornering. The owner the this Banshee is on a budget so what kind of reeds/spacers are good for the cash?
