when riding my grizz full throttle i notced the reverse light starts blinking. when i let off the throttle it stops, what's going on. is this supposed to happen? does this happen to eveyone.

 

Rev limiter sounds like? Correct me if im wrong....

 

this has happened to alot of grizzly owners. if my grizzly is sitting still, and i peg the throttle, it will also do it. i think its just the cdi limiter kicking in. kind of like your redlining it, so it lets ya know. no biggy at all, unless you ectnore it, and hold it wide open for a few, and poof goes the engine, lol.

from what i've been told by some of my yamaha tech bud's---it's a tattle-tale type deal to let a dealer know if the motor has been run over a certain RPM without the speed sensor being activated---in other words-- peggin the motor in neutral---might BLOW one up that way

 

is it something i should have fixed or is it just an "anoying/ no big deal" sort of thing.
