I really am wanting another dirtbike, been looking at the KLX400,, I would love to see the raptor engine in a YZ frame minus reverse... I think it would haul A$$..

 

Yeah, but the 2 stroke motor already in it makes more power (YZ 250)

 

just stock the 03 yz250 puts out 53hp and the raptor engine is only like 36.

 

Yeah but you also have to figure that the Raptor is very detuned and is heavier, the 660 could easily beat the 450 if it wasnt choked up.

 

Right ....the design of the engine alone would allow the raptor to push 70+ hp

 

What you are wanting is already made......Honda XR650R. 100 mph with stock gearing.

 

yz450 rated at more hp then 2 stroke

59 for the 4 stroker

I would also say that the Raptor engine is very detuned. Just as almost all quads that have bike engines in them,, Except maybe a C Dale.. I know that the YZ250 has more HP but I like the 4strokes power and how it hooks well, I would use it for Trails and back roads.
I agree Knowsalot Honda already makes what I want,, Id just like to see another BigBore Yamaha bike. I have also looked at numerous XRs in the past year from the 400-650.. I also know how reliable the XRs are..
