Default Works shocks for Wolverine

I found a set of front and rear Works Performance Shocks for a 2000 Wolverine in the classified ads on the forum for $500. Is this a good price?

500$ is a great deal, I'd jump on it before they end up on ebay, who knows what you will pay for them then. I checked them out and they look brand new.

Are they tripple rate? Rezzies or not?

I got the tripple rates w/rezz for about $550 shipped direct from works set up for my weight and riding style. They are great shocks and you will love them.

Check to see if they are the threaded adjustments type, otherwise you will have to take the shock off and use a spring compressor every time you want to change the preload on the springs. I have the dual rate front and single rate rear with threaded adjusters, and it made a real difference in the handling and the ride. My bigger tires made it wallow a bit, and the back was bottoming on fast whoops, but now it rides better than ever, got mine for about 690 with shipping.

Hey Partsman,

My son just purchased a new set of shocks from WORKS PERFORMANCE for his '00 Wolverine and he paid $1000! Sounds like a great deal to me. They were reserviour type, front and rear. (Send a link to the ad if possible to make sure that we are talking about the same one; Is is by chance ad #491?)

Hey Airwolf and 95wolv - do the prices you are saying you paid include both the front and the rear or just one or the other?I'm hearing that these things are like $1200 new for front and rear from Works.

I got mine from Retrocycle in Wisconsin, the set was 700 with shipping, and that included the threaded adjusters on all three. The guy I talked to there was Eric, the email address was esp@genevaonline.com
Over a year ago, I checked with Afco racing, they had a rear aluminum body shock for 300,check with them to see if they offera a front/rear package.
