Ice racing tires
#2
What are you guys using for fronts? I've got Chen Shins in the rear, their ice tire which has a great compound for holding studs. Can't find anything though for the fronts. Any good suggestions? Looking for something which has a hard compound and can get in a 18" or 19".
Thanks guys

I use a 3 rib implement tire, the type you'd find on a tractor. They are available at any large tire distributor but not your local tire retailer. These tires hold an extreme amount of studs and perform well.

you buy the studs and put them in yourself. we race for fun on a gravel pit pond. about 10-12 of us, we usually stud up old razors or whatever you have. they do make ice tires that hold the studs better. depends on how much $$$ you want to spend. where is modena ny? how does that 426 run compared to the cannibal?

A while ago, JL Enterprises (James Lucky) used to sell studs and ice racing tires. Since a ton of ice racing happens in Quebec, you may want to search on the net for some dealers who specialize in it......
