mods for stock Raptor carbs???
#1
Does anyone know if the stock CV carbs are worth modifying? In that case, does anyone actual work on them? I've heard of boring out stock carbs for the two-strokes, but I just wondered if anyone ever bothered modifying the carbs on their Raptor (as opposed to just getting ungodly expensive FCR kits).
Of course this would be way in the future for me, after a port and valve job. From what I've heard the stock CVs flow more than the stock head can handle anyways, but I was just thinking about mods after I get some headwork done...

the stock cv carbs can be bored out to 34mm max. then have the intake side polished. then move the cars 2.75 more inches from the head from where they are at now ie: if they are 5 inches from the head now add 2.75 and it will be at 7.75 inches away. this will add up to 3 hp. port match your intake boots to the head.
