Well yamaha guys looks like polaris has come out with some good competion whats your thoughs on the predator
from the polaris guys sounds like its a sweet quad good handling (even from a 400ex guys) lots of power (even from a raptor guy) and overall a great machine
sounds good to me
from what they have been saying its faster then any other stock quad and some are even saying piped shees and raps
i don't know guess anything is posible
but looking at that you would think it would be less reliable cause it must be a higher tuned engine to be faster then a piped rap
but hey in the end i think its great more companies are making new sport quads cause that means more competition meaning better quads
sounds like yamaha might need to come out with something new (don't worry i'm not jumping the bandwagon for the best four stroke we will see who comes out in top as time goes on will be interesting to see what hp rating the big bore kits on those will get or even just like porting, pipe, cam... stuff)
you know what the shoot outs are going to say with thoses 10 color page predator adds
tho will be interesting to hear more ride reports
just my 2 cents just interesting in what you think about the new polaris

I bet that it is slightly faster than a Z400 and slightly slower that a cannon, bomb and raptor. Even buying the whole magazine it will not win. it will probably be more reliable that a cannon.

Actually Chet, your stock 01 would actually get "taken".
The Predator is faster than all the stock 4 strokes in its class. I have raced every single one stock, modded (lightly), and I have yet to lose. All my testing was done in the sand, up hill, and with paddle tires.
I do not have anything to gain by "hyping up" my claims. I have ridden quite a few quads, and I can definitely say that the new Polaris is the one to beat. Unfortunately, with such a hot aftermarket following all the other 4 strokes have, modding the Predator to stay ahead of the packed will be an absolute must.
I am sure some will disagree with me, that is fine. I do not have any brand loyalty. I think all the quads on the market today are great, it really comes down to personal preference. I actually like the feel of the DS 650 better than the Pred. Why did I go with the Pred? One, because I am light, and I am able to throw it around better. 2, I like being different, and having the newest thing on the market. Soo I have achieved my goals. I really do not care about who is faster, it comes down to everyone being as fast as they want to be to make them happy. If you end up being faster than the next guy, then I guess you will have the braggin' rights. But remember...there is always going to be someone faster.
