Default Cam and Piston Break-In?

What is the proper way to break- in a new Stage 1 Hot cam and 11:1 JE piston? Should my valves be so noisy? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

now before you start it double check that all nuts and bolts are tight, cables hooked up etc etc.
Check the compression and valve clearance before it is started.

For the first run start the engine and let it reach normal operating temp. While it is running blip the throttle to keep it from idling at steady speeds, don’t rev the crap out of it but don't let it idle for more than a few seconds. Check for leaks etc.
Once it is hot shut it down and go eat some lunch or whatever. Do not re-start it until it is cold to the touch.
Once cold start it up again. Let it reach normal operating temps and shut it down again.
Once it is cool check the torque on all nuts and bolts make sure none have come loose. Make sure there are no signs of leaks. Check the compression
Now you are ready for your first short ride.
Take it out and ride it easy for the first 5 minutes, and do not use the engine to help slow you down.
The next ride is a little longer but use larger handfuls of throttle ad go threw all the gears, try not to go above 3/4 throttle.
Let it cool
Next ride again use big handfuls of throttle again but do not go wide open for more than a second or two...
Let it cool
After a few times of riding it like this you are good to go (ride it like you stole it)

After the first tank of fuel re-check the torque on all nuts and bolts. Again check the vale clearance and compression.

THey may be a little noisy durring break-in, but be sure to check the valve lash again. Be sure that you are on TDC. The stage 1 HotCam shouldn't be that noisy.

Trinity recommends that you let it run at a high idle for around 15 minutes.

that's about twice what is called for on the stock cam. if that is for a cold engine adjustment , it is certainly enough to make some noise as the engine warms up.

Would going with .006 and .008 Valve lash clearances as some other forum members suggest be better? Thanks for all the info fellas! XR
