So, what's everyone's opinion? IS it worth the extra $$$ for the oversized valves?

Also, what is a 3-angle valve job?

Adam- you gave a Lot of $$$ for that bare CT head. Raptorrc could have hooked you up better and cheaper. Good luck When do you plan to be ready??? In the pecking order of the big companies it is Trinity, sparks, lrd and then Ct. Better put new valve seals in it while it is apart.

Is 3 hp worth $100? Thats what Trinity claims.
A three angle valve job puts three angles on the sealing surface of your valve for better sealing and better flow.

Yeah, I did give a lot of $$$, but it's the whole head, piston, springs, etc. I figure I can sell my head for $400, and only be out about $200. Bob wanted $350 for porting, $155 for springs, $160 for piston, I'll probably come out about the same in the end, but I'd rather have this head, just for the sake of being different. Craycraft vs Craycraft vs Craycraft is no fun.

Not sure when I'll be running, Might keep the head off for a while, do everything right the first time, or I might just change out my valves and springs and run it like that. Haven't decided yet.

Anyone need a head?

I know what you mean, I actually hate CT too, but the opportunity was there, and Bob says the ports look pretty good, so I took it.

I would like the head but I sure can't swing it right now. I have a buddy at a machine shop that wants to "work" on a Raptor head.

How much does the 30 degree back cut help out?

Mine is the WHOLE head, valve cover, etc. It is running on my Raptor right now. I still have the stock cam, and will have the stock piston to sell with it, too. It won't have valves, I need the valves, and the springs, etc. but it is a good, working head.

Actually, I am looking for another stock cam. Interested in getting rid of the one you have? PM me, please.

Grasshopper- You are going to take a big HIT becuase you had the head cover welded up. I would think if you got 2oo for you head you would be doing good.

yeah, but still, that is something that you should say in the same sentence with "for sale for $400"...
