It depends too on how much actual riding time DirtWheels got on the bikes. I know when we go to the press intros and test new machines we sometimes don't get enough time on the bikes or the riding area doesn't really allow us to put the machines through their paces.

BTW...Raptor "2nd" good enough for me. Been on a Baja DS liked the size/power and the fun factor and been on a 400EX nice ride needs more power and whatever did happen to the quad of the decade of the 90's the Honda 400EX? Not good enough to even be a candidate anymore? Take it for what it is, DW.

I agree with the above posts but wont a moto beat all of those in the drag?? Ive seen piped C-dales beat piped raptors and shees easily but i guess C-dale doesnt "donate" as much $ to DW as thee others do. Oh and one other thing if u think 400ex's are underpowered talk to mhrgrove... It's him that seems to scare most the the rappy owners...

Thunder, I agree a "modded" 440 would be a good play thing but a 400 with some bolt ons just doesn't have it. I know I own one too.

All those quads had the wrong paddles on to begin with. When you start wrong you end wrong.. Doh!!

You seem to misunderstand what I said.

No one can please everyone. I don't have to agree with it and neither does anyone else.
I don't agree with what DW said. The Z would not be my choice for a Dune machine.

I was more interested in the results of the individual performance tests. Of which some I didn't agree with either. Which goes back to my original statement.

No one can please everyone. I don't have to agree with it and neither does anyone else.

Yeh, It's a pain having to listen to wrong information. just got back from Glamis, had a great time. rode our Dales all over the place and really love the milage, we can go farther than any other of the bikes. rode a modified D S, pretty neat, but not for me, evan with the mods the dale is faster and more agile. It's faster than the raptor will hang with a banshee with pipes. I have to agree with fact the mags don't tell the true stories, and the all mighty dollar sways the truth, not that the z 400 isn't a nice bike or maybe it is the best choice for some people but the facts should ring true!!
